Project Run and Play

Infinity Scarf Tutorial

I’m super excited to be part of the Project Run and Play family, and to be participating in this next project, the Neon Lights lookbook!

No urban look is complete without an infinity scarf, so here I am with a tutorial for just that! With just a half yard of fabric and 10 minutes, and you are going to have a perfect fall accessory

Suitable fabrics: anything lightweight with great drape, either woven or knit! Some ideas- rayon, chiffon, voile, rayon spandex jersey, cotton spandex jersey, double brushed poly, stretch lace

Cut one strip fabric the length of the fabric, 45 to 50 inches, by the desired width. See the chart for suggested widths. Remember, the wider you cut, the fuller your scarf! But don’t go crazy, smaller kids look weird with too much scarf. 😏

Fold in half lengthwise, right sides together and sew along the long edge. Turn right side out.

With right sides together, flip one end up to meet the other, and line up the raw edges.

Pin and sew along the raw edge, leaving a 3 inch hole for turning. If using a non stretch fabric, you may need a larger hole.

Turn scarf and hand sew the hold closed. You’re done!

See!? That was super easy! Now go and make a million infinity scarves. 😁😁😁😁
