Blog Tour, Project Run and Play

PRP Back to Learning Event- New Patterns!

More new patterns in the Project Run and Play shop!! I love me a good B2S blog tour, especially when it features such great patterns. This tour comes with 20% off the >Ten New< featured patterns, and one lucky winner will have their purchase refunded! So make sure to visit the PRP blog for more details on that. 😄😄

Today, I’m featuring the Robin dress, from Iris May Patterns. Iris has cultivated such a beautiful vibe in her pattern shop, and her instagram feed is just full of inspiration!

I really like the pieced bodice and easy fit on this drop waist dress. The pattern calls for a ruffle between the bodice pieces, but I only had a yard and a half of this Nani Iro double gauze, so I turned to my trim stash. I am actually *really* pleased with how the tassels turned out! A “make it work” moment that surpassed expectations!

I had fun playing with the edge of the printed pattern of my fabric. I love how the Nani Iro prints all have an organic, painted egde to them. It makes for a cool design feature!

I am always amazed at how many great indie pattern designers are out there making magic, and this is a really strong batch of patterns! With the closing of Petit a Petit patterns, I am SO happy that Celina agreed to send her remaining children’s patterns to the PRP shop! She is *such* a talented designer, and the drafting on every pattern I’ve sewn of hers is spot on. You may remember these awesome Morocco pants I made for my first week as a designer on project Run and Play. Still some of his favorites! (I added a cuff so he could wear them longer 😁)

These two awesome patterns, and 8 others, are all 20% off from now until September 12th! Go forth and sew!!
